Just wondering if anyone has had experiance of them.

Have consulted the vet and hes on bute for 4 days and having his shins clayed for 4 days and then after this is to have cool boots on after exercise but any other handy hints would be very welcome

Thank you

It can occur from overtraining. Cold hosing would be a good idea as well as clay. When back in work avoid galloping for 3 weeks, then introduce faster canter/gallop in short spurts, gradually building up.

As above, but am a bit against clay as believe that they heat the legs up after the initial 20 min of cooling, but each to their own! also can you get him to a spa? Does Venetia have one?

second the spa.

Other option is a product called Back on Track. They do leg wraps, bandages, fibergee etc.

The product has a ceramic melded into the fabric which refelcts heat back into the body in the form of infra red. This then stimulates the blood flow which is required for healing. I have used these boots with success on arthritis, general aches and pains and also tendon problems. They give drug free pain relief.
