Every year we have this with our pony but this year is the worst. His coat change is quite dramatic at the moment so much so that he looks like he has dapples but it is just different densities of coat . He is well looked after washed off properly everytime he is ridden ,good diet etc. He has a sore area behind saddle from the rim of the dressage pad so we have put a numhah on for a time . The area from the reins is the worst . It is bald and looking sore .Have been putting hardener on it but it now looks too sore for that but i dont really want to soften it .....Any ideas please . Have tried covering reins with felt but its not easy .He is a metabolic laminitic so the idea of nont doing anything with him until it heals is out of the question. Am going to give him a good bath today in tea tree i thought might be good . Any ideas please
