Sorry, a bit depressing, but I still miss Talisker.....

Sometimes a particular animal worms deeper into your heart than usual doesn't it. My special boy was a cat and 3 years later I still fill up thinking about him. I can't descibe how he made me feel but it was like a sort of calmness when I picked him up and I found myself smiling just looking at him sleeping or eating. Like others have said it's usually because they've been there through some rough times and brought us comfort and it's that warm non judgemental snuggle into your lap love that we miss so much.

Hope you feel better about Talisker soon. I got a big picture of Murph the cat and put it where I'd see it every day and it got me used to looking at his photo again without feeling so sad.

Your post made me so teary. Do you think you might make the adjustment a bit quicker, keep some framed pictures out and such? It helped me when I lost my childhood bunny wabbit.

I can't even comprehend being without Stella. Not only is Stella my first dog, but she is Miss Personality Plus, a dog in a million. I am dreading the day...
