Riding my 4yo in a standard eggbut snaffle, starting to ask her to accept a good contact (only in walk @ moment as working on it pace by pace ) my instructor hopped up on her the other day and said the bit made it difficult to " feel her mouth" any recommendations ? ( Must be some sort of snaffle)

As she is young I would try something like a fulmer snaffle with a lozenge mouthpiece?

Do you mean that you are using a single-jointed snaffle? If so I would try a Frech-link snaffle. You will be able to choose from loose-ring, eggbutt, half-cheek or fulmer. You could hire a variety from a bit-bank to see which suits her best.

What a strange comment! Feel - is the weight your fingers feel nothing more or less.

I love a Fulmer with a single joint and drop noseband for a young horse.
