I think not, unless you want to trim legs etc too.

Though I would let her mane grow an extra inch or two, if you do decide to keep it.

i was thinking of doing maxi cob classes next year as she is 16 hands so may leave it to grow over the winter and take it all off in the spring

I said hog to the other post but would say not to hog to you, I would keep it trimmed/pulled neatly (as in pic) but thats my personal preference!

p.s. it doesnt look too unruley but maybe he was having a 'good hair day'
