I'm going on holiday in November for 13 days my horses have been living out but one looks depressed one losing weight and the other being bullies off food, think it may be easier to bring them in over holiday!! I was just wondering how much I should pay for someone to muck out/turnout/ hay/water/ feed am an then bring in and put to bed. The person who will do it all ready works on yard so no travel but they told me to think of a price.. I was thinking £25 a day as there is 3 but that will be like ££££££ by the time I'm back! Or do I just pay someone to feed in field and they will have to sort own issues out! Help!!

I think at least £25 per day would be fair, there will be a fair amount to do as well as the responsibility of full care for 2 weeks.

They sound as if staying out will not be an option for much longer anyway, if they are losing weight and getting depressed this early in the autumn it will only get worse if the weather continues to be so wet.

I would have to pay £27 for that at our yard (£2 turn out, £2 bring in, £5 muck out, so £9 / day / horse). I suppose for three you might negotiate a discount if they are easy to do together.

I think £25 is fair, we pay £8 a day for full livery per horse, or separately turn out or bring in is £2 and muck out is £4. I they were mine I would be bringing them in by the sounds of it.
