Reading the others recently in case my question was answered there I have to say I’m actually very lucky! My horses reactions are fairly minimal compared to some!
Mine dislikes them on his face. Throwing his head round and snorting a lot. Perfectly rideable but not much fun for him.
I have from a previous horse a Equilibrium bridle face mask and it helps but has bad eye clearance. It’s large and he’s a 16.2 TB so not a massive horse.
So I wonder do I buy the same in XL but wonder if this will just make it too big/wide to fit my bridle and have massive ears or can someone recommend another one that fits nicely. I’ve had a look round and seen a few but some either look like turnout ones (ie fit over the bridle completely and do up under the chin) which I think he may find a bit irritating as he’s super sensitive in his mouth. Or look totally shapeless and unfitting! I’d like to still look half smart!!
Thanks

I use the Equlibrium field one, plus a full mesh battle horse outfit. Flies are awful here. Once it is on it does not seem to mess with the bit, just sits over the cheek piece.

I like it because they wear the same one in the field, see well through them and are used to wearing them.

Hi mine wear the Roma buzz away fly mask with fleece and nose both in the field and hacking. I find it fits easily over the bridle and causes no issues . Agree with Red-1 . Hope that helps .

What about a lycra one underneath? Like the ruggles or roma ones? it shouldn't interfere too much with your bridle over the top :) Mine is horrendous with the flies, I am desperately trying to find solutions but currently looking like we will be doing arena work 6 days a week!
