I currently feed my 14.2hh connie:
1 scoop Spillers slow release energy mix
1 1/2 scoop Alfa-A
Garlic powder (and electrosalts when necessary).
He's feed this over 2 feeds and turned out 9/10 hours a day (with hay as necessary) and has a large haynet over night. He's fine weight wise but lacking a bit of energy. I try to keep his work as varied as possible; hack and lunge at home, compete dressage, sj, ode, showing and hunt him occasionally too. He's plenty fit enough for his work, so was just wondering if there's anything I could change to give him a bit more oomph?
Have been told sugarbeet would be worth a try, but not sure if that would be instead of/ as well as what he has already (obviously reduced amounts). Any suggestions?
Thanks
