Sorry - been done a million times before - bit advice for a 13.2 NF!

He is currently in a loose ring snaffle. It looks a bit short. Have just measured it from ring to ring and it is a 5" bit. I'd like to get him a french link snaffle as I think they are kinder. Dithering over what size to get. Sorry I am a complete novice! Had dds Riding instructor to look at it and she said yes a bit small.

It is like this one but with rounder rings IYSWIM.

Don't worry about asking questions, that's the best thing you can do if you aren't sure. As none of us know your pony though, you may be best asking the instructor what sort of bit she would recommend. Good luck! xx

you need to be able to see a bit at either side if you look forwards on. I personally like about 1/2 a cm clearance on my natives as they have fat lips

Yes, try a little bigger that should do nicely

lst time I took my daughter out on the lead rein we ended up pulling the ring into his mouth as he was turning

maybe a 5.5 then as there is absolutely nothing either side.

he also has fat lips and a very 'high' mouth - from the side he looks as though he is smiling
