He's actually been out during the day, in the summer fields that aren't too muddy, in at night. He was in the winter field for a few weeks and the ground is pretty grim, that's when he came down with MF.
Interestingly enough he walks off the swelling out in the field, hence my eagerness to turn him out. I've been lathering him up with nappy rash and leg guard every morning whilst I wait for the supplies to arrive - today hopefully!
tomorrow looks like a good day - so definately talking him out for a hack then

Latest update, udder salve seems to be doing the job. A lot less scabby and nice and pink flesh now appearing.

For cheap waterproofing lard, or lard + sulphur, works well too.
