Just come back from 4 days in germany - havent ridden for two weeks due to waiting to move fields and now my horse is lame!!
He had 6 weeks off due to pulling his sacrum from may time...had massage and alsorts...cost me a small fortune - finally started to come sound again and got down to the field to find he is rest his back leg tonight....
Ran my hand down it and discovered heat around the ankle and knee area - gave him some bute and put some cooling gel on....I think he pretends too as he trotted over to me in the field...although he did start to drag it is a little afterwards....he has seedy toe on his front foot too which is really frustrating!!
Im getting to the end of my tether and thinking of just selling him and giving up....its been 5 months of him being lame and damaged and I didnt even do anything - he did it all in the field!!

I had a loan horse that was perpetually lame - you fixed one thing then something else went wrong - it was a chuffing nightmare and I totally understand how you feel.

Only thing I can suggest is to get him in properly and trot him up so you can have a guess at what's wrong this time!
