I honestly don't know...

Haven't ever just leg his 'feathers' grow out to see what state they get to, but his legs never get overly fluffy anyway, I just get annoyed when the hair gets thick (rather than long) so keep them trimmed mostly around his pasterns and bottom of his fetlocks... that make any sense?!

Generally, he's quite fine and very narrow, thin skinned and not too much hair but does get a good coat on him if left, dense if not thick. Other than his eyes and his slight fluffiness, I can't find much pony in him but I swear it's there! xD

head mainly is where i though welsh pony? - pretty face not pure tb - poss arab but body doesnt seem araby. Fine legs and seems slim. so poss 3/4 tb and 1/4 welshy
 
I can see what you mean - just had a look at some other welshxTBs and see the similarities now

They mostly seem finer than say, TBxConnies and just... more like him I guess! Very interesting

I think he has a pony head but not really a welshie one.
 
I'm rubbish at guessing breeds! I wouldn't say he was a welsh x tb though. I have a c x tb and a d x tb (straight crosses) and have had others in the past and he doesn't remind me of any of them. Connie x tb looks more likely to me.

What do you think? She's Selle Francais X Arab, and if I were a betting person I would say your boy has some Arab in him somewhere. He's lovely, btw! We should do pairs showing classes with our matching clips

Ellie was imported from Holland, so all her papers are Dutch - but she is definitely SF. We're not sure how much Arab she has as we don't know anything about her dam, other than the fact that Ellie herself was registered with a Dutch part bred Arab society. She looks a bit heavier than your Danny, but she is 15 now - when she was a baby (I got her when she was 5, see far left photo in my sig) she was very, very dainty and lightweight. She was also 15.1

Just a very small/faint star (that seems to fade out and reappear O.o)

Ooh, can I hope that Danny grows an inch or two then!? Not that I mind his height, but would make jumps a little less daunting!

Elz was 7 before she stopped growing upwards, and 9 before she really finished maturing into herself. So yep, I would say you've got some way to go before writing him off as an oversized pony

He's gorgeous - I obviously naturally go for that type of horse because even without him being the same colour as Ellie, I still thought what a lovely boy he was at first glance!

That's ok then, there's also the fact that if I ever get my dressage saddle back and stop riding jockey style, my feet might miss his sides because of how narrow he is!

Regardless of what breed he is, I love him to bits and his cuteness never fails to make me smile - and his character! He discovered how to unscrew the lids to the water containers while we were talking to the saddle fitter and tipped water all over the yard the other week...

And his narrow-ness doesn't make my legs ache so much!
