Sorry guys Lush again....

Just got my generic response to why HSA have light shining out of their backsides, and sent a slightly snotty/peeved, although not at all rude at all response back. I am going to email, and email, and email until I do get an actual reply, and not an automated reply.
This makes me soooo mad!

I read down the comments and found myself becoming more and more irate at the utter and complete ignorance of most of those who responded.

FFS - I have just read some of the comments and the sheer ignorance being displayed is actually getting to the point where it is infuriating now.

I have nothing against Lush being anti hunting - what bothers me is the support of the HSA.

I just dont think they get the bigger picture Lush is supporting a violent group so therefor they are supporting all their actions. To me it does not seem that the wiring in lush is wired up right!!!!!

I know its a bit different, but I wonder how many of these ill-informed lush employees (learning everything about hunting from a sab leaflet) eat meat themselves?

I don't want to go all bunny hugger (although I am one at heart

) but people will kick up a stink about things like this, and never consider the long term welfare of animals that are sent for slaughter

The only number i have any success with is 02074343948. This is the number for sean gifford who is head of ethics and in charge of this campaign. I managed to talk to him for a short period of time before he cut me off. But lets get as many people ring him so he knows how we feel!

I havnt heard of anyone getting other than the automated response from lush when you email.

I don't see the problem. If you lot don't like Lush, simply don't buy their products and you won't be supporting the HSA. I don't like what the Coutryside Alliance stand for however I'm not going to make a fuss, I just won't support them. Simple. And what's the point in calling the people who made comments "ignorant", let them have their opinions!

Can you guys keep this in the Hunting forum only? I dont think anything to do with hunting should be in here. I avoid the hunting forum because I don't want to hear about it (yes, I am anti) therefore don't want this stuff spilling into the Lounge.

MM this isnt about being pro or anti, its not a discussion about hunting. Its a discussion about a company openly supporting, and asking its customers to support, a violent and extreme pressure group with a history of unlawful activity.

and mine but I DO wish someone, somewhere, would give me a link to a site telling the truth about the HSA - I know someone who could influence a decision affecting Lush, but when I google, all I get is their own propaganda - I have now asked on about half a dozen lush threads and not got an answer, so if someone does have a site telling about this violent and unlawful activity, please could they pass it on!

Very clever way to sell soap isn't it? I'm starting to think that the advertising folk at Lush realised from the start that the issue of supporting hunt sabs would get buried under yet more pro and anti fox hunting arguments. People will then end up buying the bloody soap because they think they are saving fluffly little foxes. Not that they are supporting a violent organisation.
The confusion is even happening here!

Look on the 'Hunting' forum

I have read up on the HSA and they seem to have always stated that only a small minority of their members use any violence. You get a few nasty folk in ANY sort of club, just as you do get nasty, violent hunts people! skewbald_again has proved this by the fact that she cannot actually find any info speaking of their violent activities

No, I have not proved this. I have proved that the HSA go out with cameras and that, strangely, people riding horses do not.
Is it OK by you then if an organisation says only SOME of its members use violence?!
Blimey that would make Al Quaeda not such bad chappies wouldn't it?

Very good!!

Not at all. I don't support any violence whatsoever. What I'm trying to say is that hunters can be just as violent as the odd HSA member. What I'm saying is you get nasty people in ANY organisation, that is not to say it is acceptable by any means.
