About a year ago my hubby said I could get a horse if I work out all the costs etc and know we can handle it financially...anyway did all that and started looking.
Went to see a few horses, but were not suitable.
My hubby was getting frustrated as we were sort of being messed around, one lady had not even bothered to tell us before we left our house that the owners wanted to keep the horse local to her!! so that was a total waste of time!

Anyway the new weight loss drug alli came out and we decided that I would go on that first and at the same time sit the recession out as even tho horses seem to be quite cheap at the mo the cost of keeping them may be rising, so the horse search was put on hold.

Just feeling really fed up and inpatient and when hubby sees a gun that he wants it does not matter about the recession! so feeling like there are double standards even tho I know a gun is not as expensive as a horse (as in the upkeep).

Sorry having a whinge.

Double choc chip cookies and muffins for anyone who has read this far!

Get shopping love. If he objects, use that gun on him (only joking ......!). Seriously, life is too dam short to sit around waiting. I spent 43 years of my life wanting a horse, drove my parents mad, drove ex-husband and Mr TheoryX mad and finally bought the love of my life 5 years ago from a riding school. I fell in love and had to have him.

OK, he only cost me £2800 from my savings, but to me now he is priceless. He is my best friend and soul mate and he will never be sold. Be prepared for OH to give you a hard time - yes, horses cost money, but shrouds dont have pockets. You sound sensible and if you have done your sums you will be fine. Remember, if you get it right, the joy and pleasure you will get from owning a horse is totally beyond price.

Dont despair, the right one will come along. The old saying, 'If its meant to be it wont pass you by' is so true with horses.

Good luck.

Yes it really does!

You have to work with it so you have to watch what you eat and also be more active but it really does work.
I would recommend anyone who has a high BMI to ask their doc or pharmacist about it.
