Sorry Guys, I know you hate these

16.3hh 15yr old gelding who's done all PC/RC activites and spent last 6/7yrs hunting a few days a week and being a ladies hack. Never affiliated and not likely to become a world beater now

but nice honest type who is happy to jump 3" if someone fancied a jolly.

100% shoe, box, traffic, alone, in company etc but a bit of a prat with clipping and is a big chap who might take the mick with a novice.

I responded to a wanted ad as my Mum's horse needs rehoming but now I've no idea what he's worth

I have looked at the usual websites and the prices seem to vary from £800-£5000 depending on mileage, experience and BE/BSJA/BD points??

Thanks peeps!

ETA happy for him to go with full Kate Negus bridle and Sue Carson saddle and about a dozen weatherbeeta rugs, should they be factored into price? Or sold seperately?

I just bought a 15 yr old 17hh gelding who has 126 BE points and £2k BSJA for £500!
He has the odd issue but nothing that isn't managable. He hacks on his own and is a total schoolmaster both on the flat and to jump.
He was 6th in the 3* at Chatsworth.

Our YO just bought one similar to OP although he was 15.2hh - (same age) she paid about £500 for him, including brand new Falcon GP saddle and decent wardrobe (everything from rugs to brushes).

In reality anywhere from £500 - £1500 at the moment I would say, depending on where you are and how much some one wants him.

That's just amazing - do you have great contacts or did you get lucky through a private sale?

To the OP - I would say around £1500 if he is a good hunter and a safe hack, and totally sound and healthy. I would sell tack separately I think as well.
