Hi, Well basically would like to know how much you think my OH horse is worth? 15.2hh TB type(un-known breeding) 10yo dk bay gelding. Showjumper. has jumped up to 1m55 and 1m20 as a course at home. regularly sweeps the board at local unaff. Has done for a few years. Not affil as my boyfriend has lacked time and funds. We will hopefully be getting him out a couple of times on a ticket. Flatwork is very good, changes are established. Not strong,easy forward ride. Very confidence giving jump. has schooled xc, but is not a strong point due to him being of very light confo...he doesnt enjoy it and so on. For sale as very outgrown. OH wants to keep him but looks rediculous and horse can't jump so well as being weighed down by tall dad!! he has had him for 6 years!
So how much do you think we should put him up for? Another question we have had people phone through word of mouth and they all want him as an event horse, what are we doing wrong? As this really isnt what he is he is a showjumper?
Any opinions greatfully recieved. Thank you....

i would say a more reasonalbe price would be max 3.5k as he has never affilated and is not really that big TBH! Sell him as a showjumper! I would say also home is more imprtant than price!
 
We are selling him as a showjumper....but still get people asking for an eventer? Needs to get as much as he can as needs to put the funds towards a new ned.
 
Id sell him as a show jumper, be honest about what he can do. would probably suit teenager coming onto horses and want to jump aff/unaff. The price would reflect this. I would put £5000, see what happens, if nothing then lower it abit. Advertise and see how hot your phone gets, spring is just arround the corner and should sell well if a genuine good sort..
 
He sounds lovely, just what my sister will be looking for. Why do all these horses that sound perfect keep coming a few weeks too early for us, its so unfair!
 
He is not up for sale at this moment,so if you were interested he would hold off advertising? He isn't desperate to sell just wants to find the right person!
