Hi again. I posted a week or so ago 'newbie with a question' and got some great advice. I put an ad up and got loads of responses and have been lucky enough to find a lovely lady with some ponies who is willing to show me the ropes. I am now thinking towards the future and the possibility of one day getting my own. What do you think are the things you should know about horse care etc before you bite the bullet and get one of your own?

Do some work on a ... good ... yard . Get some stable care days under you belt . Do some of the BHS exams , get in touch with the local BHS bod and Im sure they will be able to advise you the best options in your area. Very good idea to get experience before you get a beastie of your own .
