Was in a car accident last year, seriously injured my back. Ive got 7 horses that i love dearly and couldnt do without. However the last few months have been hard for me, my back is giving me alot of trouble, and my doctor is taking about giving me surgery to help correct my back.

Its got to the point were i know im going to have to sell some horses as i cant give them all the love and attention that they need.

Ive someone interested in my wee 12.3hh coloured mare who is 6 years old. Ive had a friend whose been riding her bareback and no bridle and she goes great. She is pregnant, and due any day and i think its going to be a colt.

Her name is Mia and she has a very gentle nature, she is good on the road, great stable manners, she isnt a plod but shes not far away, she stands for the farrier and is easily loaded. She was jumping further back in her pregnancy, and we had her over 80-90cms clearing them. Shes usually the one getting bullied by other horses and ive never ever seen her kick out.

I was wondering what price i should ask for her. I was offered £800 but thought she might of been worth more.

Her she is....

Are you planning to sell her once the foal is weaned? And do you think she will be safe for a child? If yes in both cases, I would guess you could get £1500-2k.

Shes being rode by an 11 year old girl, she doesnt bolt and ive never known for her to rear or buck. She has been hacked out on a main road, took over a field for a good gallop and is easily brought back.

Im honestly trying to think of a bad thing she does, when i got her she didnt like her feet being lifted, shes still a bit funny about it, but all she does is try to take a step back.

Shes used to travelling as we would have taken her to the beach, where she doesnt go hyper like the others lol.

I personally think she would be a great wee pony club pony, as she loves taking part in games etc, and she jumps well for her size lol.

Had a child on her that refused to get on her mums horses, it was hard getting her back off again!!!

All the ones I have seen if they are bombproof go for £3500-£4000 as people are nervous and really want a safe horse - aim higher and you can always come back down! Good luck with opperation

Prob if you get a photo of her jumping 80cm+ try her for £2500 for child to do in shows, pony camp - If I had a young child I would want a safe horse for my daughter/son and would be happy to pay this plus she is still young at 6 so lots of mileage left! She also looks lovely too!

Realisticaly £1500. No proven history, and ponies only go for the higher prices if PC saints with references longer than your arm.

Thanks everyone, if they arent interested in her for the price i asked £1200, then i will keep her til the foal is weaned. Then get her jumping a bit more.

What you cant see is she a little cobby, her legs have a brave bit of feathers on it. Will try and get a pic of her standing
