Can anyone recommend some nice inexpensive every day jods? I prefer plain dark colours, not too thick and nice and snug (hate it when they're baggy round the knee!) and ideally not too high in the waist either. I've got a pair of Equetech cotton casuals which are great but the only sensible colour is navy and I've got that

thank you!

I LOVE my Horka jods, just bought my third pair. Wore the first ones out completely, second ones still going strong, new pair just as nice. Got navy and 'coriander' (pale brown) now. They are about £40 although sometimes turn up for less on ebay. I als had some MH ones which were nice. The new horkas have replaced a pair of dublins, that lasted OK but not as hardwearing or comfortable as the Horkas or the MH.

ok, thanks - where did you get them from? found some called Ladies Comfort Breeches on Frogpool Manor Saddlery website but no picture?

Thats not cheap £40

Cheap is £15 - £20 and I never pay more than that for everyday jods. If you're size 28 I've got 3 or 4 pairs that you could purchase for a small fee.

I need to get some new ones in size 24. PM me if you're interested. Otherwise check out Robinsons, Derby House etc.

Sounds good, they have some on offer for £17! They also have a make called Virgina on the website...

do you think they meant Virginia...?!!

I think £40 is reasonable tho, I've bought cheaper ones (£15-£20) before and I honestly don't think they are as comfortable. Suppose it depend what cut suits your shape tho, and also how often your wear your jods and for how long! My dublins were about £28, and not bad for the price.
The horka ones I've got are the comfort breeches, forgot to say they are breeches not jods usually I think. THey came from ebay, my local tack shop stocks them too.

I don't have them but my instructor says she couldn't live with out her Requisite ones from Robinsons. About 16quid I think they were. Not sure which ones though.

I bought some Mark Todd breaches a couple of months ago - the cheaper ones, sorry can't remember what they are called. Think they were just under £40. Very comfortable, fit beneath the waist, really flattering and easy to wear.

Have to say everything I have ever bought from the MT Collection both horse and human clothing has been very good quality!

ah right, was wondering what MT stood for!
i'm going to write all these names down and then go have a wander round the trade stands at burghley tomorrow. much prefer being able to try things on..
thanks for all the suggestions!
