Sorry, I know I keep banging on about rugs :o
What do you all find are the best make for longevity and for not ripping too easily?
Was looking at an amigo mio and was told they rip too easily :(
Thank you for your patience with my new rug obsession! :p

I generally find it is the denier that matters rather than the make. I have had loads if different makes and find that anything that is less than 1000 denier rips very easily regardless if make. I generally find the Rambo rugs quite hard wearing.

Have always bought masta for my old boy, his oldest rug was 10 years old, the colour had faided but still was viable.

I don't think it is necessary to spend a fourtune, but have had no success with uber cheap rugs, I have never spent more than £60

I have found- masta rip at the seams, amigo are rubbish and horseware arent what they used to be, so not worth the money anymore. i have found shires rugs to be the most successful but i also have a couple of rugs branded castle, which i dont think are very well known but they are good and not expensive

i think it depends on your horse... i have (and have had) wetherbeeta, amigo, rambo, rhino, shires, iv horse, derby house... personally for my lot i prefer the horseware (rambo, rhino and amigo) rugs, as they fit mine better, and i find them very high quality. if however my horses were rough on the rugs there is no way i would spend the money on horseware ireland for them!

we've had the odd nick here and there over the years, but none have been damaged properly. but saying that none of mine are rug rippers/wreckers. :)
