If you want to go to college you will go to the interviews.

When we (a commercial company, colleges should be even better) interview anyone with a disability/illness we do make reasonable adjustments and I personally will take into account that someone, who has told us about an illness, may be in pain or similar if they don't show quite as much enthusiasm as we'd normally require.

I know this is hard, a relative (much older than yourself) suffered dreadfully with arthrits of a different sort.

Actually preparing for your interview should take your mind off the pain somewhat. If you're well enough to tell us what a nuisence this all is (and you do totally have my sympathies with that) then you're well enough to tell a college how great you'd be as a student.

Go for it!

Have you contacted the college's disability advisor ? It would be a shame to miss out on the interview because your condition has flared up. The advisor might be able to rearrange the date for you.
