Today, I rode my share horse in a jumping lesson. She's a total star and has to be the most honest horse ever born. Despite my various facial expressions and no doubt restriction of her ability. She carried me about like a slightly pesky sack of potatoes and did her job to the letter.

Today was a visiting instructor who I rate very highly and who has helped me get my jumping confidence back over the last four years. Until now I've really only ridden and certainly only jumped the big grey one in his lessons so it was a big thing for me.

Like I said self indulgent I know but I sense there are a few out there that might geddit!

Well done you! I get it - I would be delighted if I'd survived a jumping lesson.
I sort of 'jumped' today too! On a hack there was a small trunk fallen over on the bridlepath - there was no way round - only over! Jerry was a bit spooked by it though (it wasn't there the other day mum, therefore it must be hiding a monster!) Anyway, with some persuasion he sort of stepped- hopped over it! I was actually quite pleased as I haven't jumped anything for about 10 months!
