Thinking of doing a little bit of lead rein with my son , My yo has a pony thats been at your yard for some time now, shes a real waste of a pony and would love to get her goin, shes quiet to work with can be a little buzzy in hand but fine when riding her .

She has wonderful paces and moves like a dream , shes a pretty little pony , just wondering would she be suitable for lead rein classes .

Sorry I know they are crappy pics but just to give you an idea , will get some more tomorrow of her ..

IPS and BSPS showing lead rein is under 123cm I think (12h), but the local classes at ag shows, gyhmkhanas etc is usually any size. Age wise lead rein is under 7 and over 3 for IPS/BSPS and is very serious!! There are hunter pony (which yours looks like) and show pony (the little stick insects!) classes, never did much lead rein with my sister when she was little as its quite boring for the kids, she prefered to do pony club and fun unregistered classes. You could check out the pony clubs in the area, some clubs let kids join from age 4 and its much better fun than showing!! Also you find very few boys doing showing, they don't like getting all prettied up and seem to prefer to be doing mounted games or jumping!

You might want to take her to a show to just do an in hand class without a jockey to start with and to get the measure of how she reacts..in party mode she might get very buzzy!

It would just be local gymkhana type shows .... Would probably do games and that also but she is a super looking little pony who has great paces *notes must get better pic *

But yeah will take her to a local show see how she gets on

cheers ladies x

Sorry should have explained myself better , she can be buzzy in hand as in when leading her out .. probably due to her going to the field (cause thats all I have seen of her), once she has a saddle on her back shes fine and seems to know her job .

I will likely be trying her out on sunday with my son ... walking her around, she belonged to a lady that bought her for her 6 yr old daughter ...Like i said probably her due to not being worked .

I will get a better pic of her conformation and movement hopefully over the weekend .
