Apologies for the universal 'Sorry!', but brain has lost the plot.

It was D1's sixteenth Birthday on Saturday, so we've been a-planning and a-sorting that. She got a new scooter and did her CBT :D. Did well, but was all new to her, so did it again yesterday and passed :D. Yay for the D1! Can't wait to see her try and carry a saddle on her scooter bike thingy .

Sunday D1 and Friend went cubbing for the first time. Brilliant fun :D. Friend hit the deck (full gallop, stubble field) - in true hard-woman-to-hounds fashion she got back on and finished the ride. Was a bit iff afterwards, so we walked the horses back to the lorry. She's been checked over and thankfully, so far at least, nothing drastic :D. She's already talking of going again so she must be alright :D

I've been caught up with client. Late, late meetings and disgustingly early mornings (though I have to admit, I didn't make the five-thirty train this morning :rolleyes:).

Back is complaining and refused to leave the bed this morning. I find it hard, if not impossible, to move around without it, so stayed in bed

Right, will stop woffling :D. Again, sorry for all and any that I should have replied to - I will attempt to go and do it now :D

LOL Eyeballs ok, Tongue, not so. Got headbutted by client horse who's in for a little tlc.

Also had a pony dumped in our front garden this morning. Shooed it in and closed the gate. Not even a holler to say what they done!

So now I have the "interesting" job of finding out who the little minx belongs to. I have 2 boys who are VERY interested in her! :D

Ouch! Hugs hun. Sounds like you're the one in need of the tlc!

Interesting re. pony... Stolen and dumped? Lost, found and stuck in your garden as 'someone who will know'? Good luck re. the boys! lol

Its a cob... She's probably "muscled" her way through a hedge looking for that tasty bit of grass that is juuuuuuust out of reach. :D

She has a rug on and there are a few yards down the lane. Got to go that way in a bit so will go and ask. She's busy pruning the hedge for me in the front yard atm.

The mad thing was I saw the car shoo her in. In the time it took me to pull boots on, they were gone. :/

Just as well the stallion wasn't out! ;)

Hi Mrs M :)

We are getting as many jobs done as possible until OH (dad_io) goes in for his operation to remove his rods from his back next Wednesday..Hope you are continuing to heal x

Hi Mrs M - I was going to email or text you earlier today as well, to see how you're getting on. But I too went back to bed...(sulking) had a crappy few days, even had to take the pretty green and yellow pills last night. Shame really I was saving them for selling on the black market...

The other thing I've realised is those colours used to be my x-c colours as a child...now they just remind me of pain!

Oh hum...so days in bed still happen further down the track? To be honest I've only been out of bed twice today, once to pee, and once for a piece of toast...now back sulking!

Hope you're felling more rested now? I'm jut plain BORED and well in pain. But hey ho at least it's only temporary - right?

How's life without the brace? Are you doing it gradually or is it now in the loft? I've gone back to sleeping in mine.

Happy birthday to D1...does that mean there is lots of chocolate cake in your house?! - Remind me where you live!! I'm quite quick on crutches now!

take it easy xx

Happy Birthday to D1.
You really need to take life a little easier and get used to life without the back-brace gradually, says she who went to the Great Yorks Show on crutches 4 days after having the pot off her leg. - my hands paid the price though, I had to buy some gloves for the 'walk' back to the car- and I certainly couldn't go on the 2nd day as I had planned.
Have you started physio yet? Is it doing you any good?

Hi MrsM!! (another one of the situations where I need a wavey smiley....)

hope your back is good & D1 had a fabbo 16th! nice to have you back :)

M - take the painkillers when you need them hun, pain tires you out so quickly and it's hard to fight back from it :). Think of those colours as getting rid of pain :D. The days in bed will get less and less :). I have commandeered the sofa bed in the sitting room. I've lived on it for the last two months (I think it will be glad when I've done lol). I have been worried that D (poor lad) would turn over in his sleep and bop me on the back, so have slept down here. It's getting to the point where I think I'll be able to go back to my bed soon though :D. I'll keep the sofa bed as a day bed as it's still comforting and less ouchy to lie down rather than sit down :). I put the back brace on when I'm tired, when my back muscles are achey, or when I know there's going to be lots of people around (like a trip to London last week), so not quite consigned to the loft yet :D.

PaS - I am trying to take it easy, honest :D. I think the tension in the neck and shoulders from D1 on the scooter on Saturday, then walking Little Lady back to the lorry on Sunday (it was further than I remembered it being!), the the tension again yesterday (driving, D1 on scooter again, Friend) and today body just refused to play. My back muscles welded themselves to the bed! Only been out of bed to bathe and go and visit Friend :)

M - ta hun :D. I think D1 had a good day - was a bit of surprise, she knew about the scooter, but not that she was doing the CBT that day lol
