Sorry i know everyone must be sick and tired of wieght threads..... but i have to ask what the verdict is .......i am 64kg and my horse is 400kg ..... am i to heavey ??? the lightest i could go with out being out of my healthy bmi is 54kg , is the 10kg worth it ??

You are fine. You are about 16% of his bodyweight. You don't want to be any heavier, but you are fine.

No you're fine weightwise for your horse. And iirc I've seen your pic on your horse, & I don't think trying to lose weight would be remotely healthy for you anyway. So no need to attempt it for any reason.

I have 36" legs & a 14.2. Admittedly she's full up & takes up a lot of leg, & my upperbody looks ok as she has reasonable neck & my 5'10 is mainly legs. But my legs are still halfway to her knees bareback, & as I ride v long even when I bother with stirrups, my feet are below her elbows unless I'm jumping. And it never stopped us from doing anything. Have a look at pics of William fox pitt doing dressage on various horses, being a bit tall doesn't do him any harm even at that level.

5'9 and not a skinny little person either and I ride two at 14,1 ;)

he doesn't seem to struggle though

Even Dae copes with my excessive weight ;)
