Do soundproof ear bonnets have much of an effect?

Mare is rather spooky and is worse in the wind and with certain noises (certainly doesn't like woodpeckers in the forest). Part of it is seasonal and she has the majority of her off days coming into spring and autumn/winter, but settles down for the most part during the summer and winter. I'm wondering if a soundproof ear bonnet would make much of a difference.

Supplement recommendations are not needed and she's already on enough to control her actual seasons and make her slightly more chilled. Her current state is nothing too difficult, but it would be nice to settle her during her odd bad day.

I got one for my horse and found it made a huge difference. I got to the stage where I stopped using it as I thought he was fine. I forgot its value until a few months down the line with horse being spooky again i remembered the bonnet! Bonnet back on and spooking stopped!!

I have seen a huge difference with my horse who hates the wind- we live on the top of a hill!

I thought I would give them a go schooling as we had them and I feel like he concentrates much more even though we are fortunate to school in an indoor (so no wind) on a quiet yard, and he isn’t a particularly spooky horse.

Thanks everybody. Will purchase some and try them out! I’ll take a look at the Harry hall ones, I love their rider wear so I’m sure I’ll like the horse wear too.
