Where is your favourite venue for XC schooling, and why?

Am keen to get out and about as much as possible before my GCSEs.

thanks for any reccomendations!

Chilham Park (www.chilhampark.com)
They've got a wide variety of fences over a lot of land. Best place for xc I've been to (the pics of the jumps on the website are about 2 years old, they've now got more jumps and do BE aswell now!)

Lodge Farm (www.lodgefarmcrosscountry.com) is supposed to be good, and the jumps in the photos on thier website seem nice.

The East Kent Hunt Ride in Wye is on in a few weeks (http://www.foxhunters.net/ride/index.htm)

Milstead sponsored ride is also on at the end of April (http://www.milsteadsponsored.co.uk/)

Hope I helped

Chilham parkand lodge farm look lovely - but they're too far away.. Am in the Epsom area of surrey, so surrey/sussex is best for us.

Coombelands - plenty of fences, straight forward and nice for youngsters, lots of fun - really good schooling venue

Tweseldown - more technical bigger stuff, really good water complex and fantastic ground conditions

Lodge Farm, Matfield - just a bit different, nice little water complex, sunken road etc.

Chilham Park - never schooled that but have competed there, really lovely place, plenty of open space, just a lovely course

Fairoak Estate, Rogate - fantastic - every height option for every fence, really good, 2water complexes plenty to jump

Ummm, well Tweseldown is nice, you have a lot of fences and lots of ways to put a string together and they have EVERYTHING!

Coombelands is fab, loads of space and a great range of fences.

Pachesham is prob closest to you and is also very inviting for youngsters and does have few bigger fences, but not as long as tweseldown or coombelands.

Munstead ha s anice intro course.

Stilemans again has good BE standard fences to school round.

Woolgars farm also has lots of nice inviting fences for babies.

Warren barn farm in Warlingham have a bit of everything and some hedges, its a uk chasers course pretty sure it is anyway.

There is also a little place called Bluebell farm in chelsfield. It has all types of fences from 2' upto 3'9" but no water, even a nice big bank which is lots of fun, its perfect for taking a trainer as its all very 'compact'
