Have just received an invite to join the South Notts for their opening meet. I love visiting and will be very gratefully accepting the offer (providing I can get the boss to give me the time off work).

Anyone hunt with them and anyone know what the hunting in the area is like? (meet at The Bear, Alderwasley I believe). The invite said 'to be avoided by those that like a quieter life'. Sounds like I might enjoy it!
 
Think the Bear is quite a larger decent day from what i remember when my old boss used to hunt with them. They've got it right though, usually meet from a pub :)
 
The Bear is a decent meet ;p Lots of BIG hedges, and decent walls, alot of jumping ;) The thursdays are always a laugh. Will suit you and Monty down to a tee :grin: They are a loony lot on occasions though!!
 
The Bear is a cracking meet, lots of jumping, stonewalls, hedges (Big Ones) and plenty of drinking, from what I can remember the food at the Bear is good too.. Have Fun..
 
I'm staying at the Bear too, so no driving for me!
Sounds like fun, might be a day for the double bridle though.
