It's a bit out of date - you'd have thought they would have put photos on of the new arena (ish) It is so posh, like jumping round someones front room. All the kicking boards have been replaced with mahogany, the judges box has moved, the bar is where the seating used to be. The seating is where the horses stood. The horses now stand the other side of the indoor warm-up (a bit small) and you can't really watch anymore. Oh and a brand new surface.
When you walked the course for the 1.20 because it was dark enough they put all the Disco lights on (new) and cranked up the sound system. Apparently it was like walking the course at Olympia.
We're not going on Sunday, but are seriously considering going to the Christmas show! There's nothing on near us and they have a good schedule. Just gotta convince OH now..
Used to go up there loads, but haven't been for a few years now.. must go up again sometime soon.. but thought i'd let the initial rush of people going to try out the new arena finish.
New to the south west so have never been! Would like to go to BSJA show this weekend! How good are the course builders? Would be jumping 1.20/1.35 opens how well do they ride etc?

You might struggle to find a 1.35m Open....there aren't many around at this time of year !

I doubt you'll find anything much over 1.30m indoors unless you're going to something like the CSI at Towerlands, or jumping in one of the really strong area like Area 17. We're lucky to get a 1.20m down in the South-East most of the time (not that it particularly worries me as we're stuck around 1.10m/1.20m atm
Oh well i'll just go and have a look! I'm sure i can find something for him! Have had this prob since the day we moved to the south west! Just finding somewhere with big classes is a night mare!

In the summer you have Bicton, Wales and West and Dorset as well. What height do you normally jump him? Tell us all about him.
BTW the last 1.25 my sister did at The Hand most of the jumps were 1.35 but the course builder did agree to put the 1.40 double down.
Wondering if I should go - have not jumped my horse since October where he was a nightmare. Wondering if he might behave himself as has not done it for so long!
SM/DD what about all joining together and hiring the Hand for the evening think it would be about £40 with jumps and lights? Maybe get Twiggy involved as well? Would you be interested MDM? That way have a good play round a course and bring helpful friends/slaves who can do jumps?

I volunteer to be a slave, I want to see you guys jumping. Did I just say that out loud?
Any one know what heights the IDHT will start at, eg will it be little?
Yes definitely. Would probably bring all the gang though rather than Sienna, so Ponies & Deri & maybe jumping early on so we can do tiddly jumps.
