hi everyone - just wondering who'd dared pop up to southall market since it relocated?? are they still inside the M25 or is the new location just outside??
crazy how places like this just keep on ticking over!

From what I've heard it's move to a field just down from where it used to be. Not sure though as I have never been and no intention of going!

Market closed/closing as far as I was aware as of the 3 blokes who own it two wanted to retire & the third didn't want to carry on alone. I saw something about it end of last year I think & he was wondering what to do with the site as I think they owned it (rather than leased). This may have changed since of course.

I always thought it had closed for good and not re located!!!!
I know a couple of 'dodgy' dealers that used to buy and sell there and the impression I got off them was that the market is no more!!!!!!! I might be wrong though x.

I live literally 300 metres form where is has relocated to. it is a field on the corner of parlaunt road in Langley, berkshire.
The field has always occupied the traditiional coloured cob. which breed routinely every year, and graze 95% of the time on ragwort

. hmm... I hear you ask.....now,"southall market" runs every wednesday in this field and attracts the "typical" audience. According to recent comments JG has been spotted around as well.
And should we link the sudden rise in crime in the area (shop raids and an armed burglary with a crowbar on an old couple, Dog thefts in particular) to this? I would hate to be done for prejudice......

I wonder if the real reason for moving Southall Market was because of the forthcoming London Emission Zone for diesal lorries which means that most diesal horseboxes will have to pay £200 per day because their engines are not Euro 4 compliant? Or did someone else take over the market?

No i think Southall was closing down any way to be honest and our travelling friends thought they would jump at the chance.
i don't think that the one in Langley is oficially southall market, but more of a replacement (if that makes sense)
