Took one of my boys, Tiger, there to do the Workers and the Retired Racehorse classes. He was magnificent and just tipped one off in the workers (my fault for riding like a numpty with my hat over my eyes!!) and then he went beautifully and we got a second place in the ex racers class which had some gorgeous horses in so I was thrilled to bits. My little horse thoroughly looked after me and left me grinning from ear to ear.

Watching the South Notts hunt in the main ring wishing he was doing that instead of showing!

He's a nice sort...

just 2 points....

try and allow him a little slack over a fence, as you seem to be hanging onto his front end....and he may also appreciate you losing a few pounds.

It's a fair point but I have a fair reason - I'm undergoing treatment for tumours and have to have serious amounts of steroids, not that I should really have to justify this to anyone

of course you don't have to justify anything...least of all to me.

All things considered though, I would just buy myself a ID....or take up driving.

I thought you looked really good together and did a nice round! (I was the lady behind you letting my mare get some shade in the hedge!!) We managed a clear round (finally!!) - the warm up ring was awful - so busy. It felt very much like the horse section had been shoved in a corner!!

Lovely horse, but a very fine thoroughbred.

And wimbles you are right you do not have to justify anything to everyone and I do hope you are better soon, steroids are really nasty however I do think jm does have a point.

OMG me and my niece are in your first photo! We were watching the coloured showing classes. Your horse is lovely and you were brave doing that WH - we watched a bit earlier on and a lot of them were having problems especially with the white fence near the end of the course.

I don't know how much you know about steroids but they lead to swelling of tissue, not just an increase in weight. I probably don't weigh nearly as much as you think I do, but thanks for making me feel utterly cr@p about what was a very special day for me and my horse. I just hope you arrogant buggers never have anything like this befall you

Sorry

but would you really of liked me to lie, it is a lovely lovely horse .

I know all about steroids ( I am a pharmacist ) and you really do have my full sympathy, but so does your lovely horse.

May I just say that I know both Wimbles and Tiger. They have a great relationship and Tiger has achieved more in the past 2 years with Wimbles care than he has in his previous "peofessional" lives.

If he was unhappy, believe you me, he wouldnt be hunting and jumping AT ALL.

I wont go into detail but he doesnt need anyones sympathy, he really doesnt.

Wimbles, please dont let a few peple put you down, ignore them and carry on doing what you do best, riding showing and jumping your lovely horse.

Well done Wimbles, you and horse look great!!!

By the way, they obviously don't know the saying " a pint of blood is worth an inch of bone" when it comes to horses!!!

You don't need to take up driving or have an ID, unless you want to of course!!!

I really think those that feel the need to make hurtful, ill-placed comments should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves, who do you think you are to make someone feel like that - utter disgrace!
