My daughter's 13.2 pony (the grey in my siggie) is allergic to soya and I'm having a real problem finding 'pony' food without any in it. Even when ingredients are listed as 'oil' it turns out to be soya, or I ring the company and lo and behold the feed is sprayed with a light dressing of it, or it contains micronised soya or hulls, none of which are any good for him.

He is currently on Dengie Hi fi Lite chaff, with Speedibeet and a vit & mins supplement, and a slosh of cod liver oil, and some sunflower seeds, but he really misses some form of nut in his bucket.

Has anyone else been through this and could tell me what they feed? I don't want anything heating but wouldn't mind something to put some weight on him too.

Any help gratefully received!

Many thanks guys x

If you feel he likes a 'nut' in his feed, why not just feed a straight feedstuff that comes in 'nut' form ie grass nuts or alfalfa pellets. According to the Dengie website, their alfalfa pellets are pure alfalfa with no extra ingredients.
