Can anyone recommend a feed suitable as a recovery /rehydration mash, which DOESN'T contain soya/soya oil? To use at competitions.

Soaked sugarbeet/grass/aflalfa cubes aren't tasty enough :(

Re-Fuel by Pure Feeds doesn't have soya in it
Ooo, not heard of this, will look it up!
Look at Allen & Page, I use Muscle & Focus and there's no soya in that.
I do like A and P - hadn't thought of using it as a mash :)
Pink mash? It’s beetroot? Or Baileys meadow cobs soaked?
The first ingredient of Pink Mash is Soya Hulls :/ I'm not sure they'd find Meadow cubes tasty enough - fussy b's when they are hot and wound up!

I've created a recovery mash for a v sensitive horse: apple juice or lots of grated apple, porridge oats and grass nuts with water - more or less, depending. Mine can't have soya, Alfa, linseed or beet so options are a bit limited but this recipe seems to work well and is super easy and cheap!

Actually it’s Soya hulls not the surya beans…there is a difference
Its still made from soya. The production can have a questionable environmental impact, and is shipped huge distances. I'm not against using imported goods per se, but I do choose to look for lower impact goods where I can. It must be possible to feed my horse using UK grown feeds. ( And yes, I know the fert etc is probably imported!)

I use agrobs mash for mine. It’s soya and Alfa free and I haven’t tried anything else that is. It is always polished up by my quite fussy horse.
