Can anyone tell me if feeding soya oil daily can make a horse go a bit crazy please. I was under the impression that it was slow release non heating. But after trying to anylise tonights mad behaviour i realised that as i had introduced oil to his very megre feed to aid mobilty it may have had some bearing on his hyperness. - thanks x

I feed it for better coat and weight and have never had them go nutty on me but i spose any oil can heat them as more energy different horses react differently.

Very possible, all horses are different! To be sure, take him off for a few days then reintroduce to be sure he just isnt having a hypo day(winter weather turns the most placid into nutters some days, lol)

maybe try codliver oil, we've always fed that for joints and used soya oil for energy, especially for our laminitic as its a no sugar energy source

My Arab only gets fibire as feed, but if I need a little more spark from her she has soya oil added and is def gives her a bit more energy! spooks at all them monsters that arent there! lol!
