Soya oil

Yes it is apparently. I've been told by feed companies that it is preferable to feed soya oil rather than vedge.

I feed it for weight gain, coat condition and joint supplement. I have a 15.3hh TB and I give her about 1/2 a cup a day split over 2 feeds when weight gaining and 1/4 a cup when just maintaining.

great - thank you

You can feed a pint or more aday, but even if only feeding half a mug a day you will need to add extra Vit E and selenium.

Yep, it's to do with the Omega 3:Omega 6 ratio if I remember correctly. All oils are non-heating, PG - I feed between 150-300ml a day

It 's definitly non-heating. I feed for weight gain and a nice coat to my stressy little man and it works really well.

OK, so do you need the extra E and selinium because soya oil is less bioavailable without this? Is absorption blocked otherwise?
