Prompted by the post about clipping spangles I thought I would start to desensitise Ruby wocker as she has just had her first proper winter coat and looks a bit like a gonk!

I got out my little hummingbird horse trimmers and rubbed her with them, turned them on and ran them on the back of my had whilst stroking and then, as she was quite happy, ran them down her back just to nip the ends off some long fluffy bits.

Well it seems to have gone well, she LOVES the feel of it but instead of going all soppy and quiet she has totally lost the plot.

You know when spangles get SOOOO excited that when they run their back ends over take their front ends.....well....this is currently whats occuring on my wooden sitting room floors......its like the bloody wall of death in here!!!

LOL

Im really looking forward to clipping day.....

That's a brilliant description of it:D

The 'ping' thing? Mine do it when they get wet or hosed for their filthiness-daily, currently. They get horribly overexcited when they're wet-it's a bit like the Gremlins film-'DON'T GET THEM WET!' God help us when they go swimming for the first time!

Do yours fling themselves around the room, bouncing off the walls, floors, furniture, your legs and possibly the ceiling when they are at all damp?

Henry gave me a heart attack doing that the other day, he brushed against the stereo and turned on the radio really loud, made me jump!:D

Yes, they are mental. Zak, especially, runs at full speed from one end of the patio to the other when slightly damp!
