Spanish fires & equines

This pictured reduced me to tears The thought of equines being trapped by fire keeps making me blub.
After the horrific forest fires in Southern Spain It appears some equines have been able to escape on their own accord. I am so happy for them!

They seem to have a better chance of survival if allowed to get out by themselves.
I recall a poster who was in a tornado path painting her phone number on her horses in case they had to let them loose.

I have a friend in spain who was right in the path of the fire. He painted his mobile number on the horses and released them. It's a good job he did; his barn was burnt to the ground yesterday. I just hope he finds them once all the fire dies down

This is not the first time I have heard some one doing this very sensible.My thoughts are with ever one affected by the fires but especially with the equines.

Very sensible idea.
Sorry to say but I am more concerned about the horses than the people. At least the people know what's happening and can get out in time. Yes they may lose everything but they still have their lives.
Hope all the horses will be found again alive and well.
