Hi looking for opinions on Sparsholt.
We're looking at going for the regionals but having not been there before we're a little concerned we're going to get there and it not be great.

Any body got any feedback?

It's lovely there! Their big out door is part of the London 2012 surface. Nice clean toilets (always a bonus). Only down side might be the school at the top in the lorry park as it gets a lot of horses passing by and vehicles parking next to it. That being said, for regionals/pet plans, they tend to use the big out door!

I would recommend it if it were me. Stables are nice too if you need to stable... Well I think they are anyway.

It's a lovely venue, loved it when I was living down there. Ditto about the school at the top of the lorry park, I had horses hoolying next to me one day during a test, however they do tend to avoid that. The indoor is fab and warm up is good too. Would recommend it.

It's one of the best venues around- think it won the british dressage 'venue of the year' several times.
Guarantee you won't be dissapointed!

I'm doing my Regionals there. It's a fab venue and even better the Regionals are being run by Duncan who ran Merrist Wood and the Winter Regionals there were just amazing - absolutely everything ran like clockwork.

Think we've made our minds up! :D
Its thator Somerford due to the date of my wedding. How bloody inconvenient. :D

Star what class are you doing?

It is as others have said a fabulous competition venue. The only thing I would say is that they don't tend to have the best facilities for staying over. I did a dressage camp there last year (as did Star coincidentally), and there are minimal showering and catering facilities. Fine if you have them on your lorry, but I don't. Nothing you can't work around, but best to be warned. Good luck! :) x

I'm there all the time and it's great. The only thing I would mention is that the car park is exceptionally slippy concrete so if you have something hot to mount then I would lead them down to the warm up!
