I'm just finishing my degree there. What are you thinking of doing?
I was at Hartpury for my first year, and the course was great but the place was not so. Sparsholt is SO friendly, helpful, a lovely place to be, they are trying so hard to improve their facilities and courses to come up to a better standard and therefore a better reputation. Don't dismiss it because it's not got a fantastic reputation, consider it on it's merits. For a start, students actually get to *touch* the facilities (shock horror, unlike somewhere else previously mentioned!) We also have a fantastic lab with some really cool equipment, which doesn't seem to be a priority for some other places. Class sizes are also slightly more manageable - I went from 100-200 in a lecture theatre at Hartpury to the 13 we have in my year now - it's nice to be recognised as I walk in the room instead of ignored because there are too many people to know them all!
I love it there and don't regret my decision to move from Hartpury.
Any questions feel free to PM me
I like Sparsholt, one of my favourite venues. Really well run and everyone is very friendly.
They are in the process of having a lot of work done tho - so its a bit hectic at the moment. They are having a new outdoor built, plus a cover is going over the outdoor thats currently used as the warmup to make it an indoor. They are also having a restaurant added onto the indoor that is already there, and a new lorry park is being done.
I don't know anything about it from an educational perspective, but it's a nice competition centre. Currently not the best for jumping, but that should improve with the new bigger arena they are putting in.
