Spay timeline

Booked Indy in for her spay, she will be 17 months at the time. Had her first season bang on 8 months then had her second at 13 months right on cue!

Can‘t remember the timeline from the last spay, I know it’s 7- 10 days with a post op check but just wondering about exercise/jumping etc.
Any tips/tricks you would recommend to help through the post op/recovery period?

On lead and try to limit jumping while stitches are in so a couple of weeks I think

Just had my pup done. She was speyed about 3 months after her first season (she's just turned 1). She was on pain relief for about 5 days after and they said to keep her quiet for 10 days - no jumping on/off furniture, climbing stairs, running, playing and only short on-lead walks - easier said than done!! I kept the jumping to a minimum and she had short lead walks and was supervised in the garden. I kept her in her pen as much as possible, but with the other dogs running around it was difficult to keep her happy/calm as she's a bit of a stress-head. After 10 day check, she was pretty much back to normal. The wound healed beautifully with no problems.

Going to get a spay suit I think to try and avoid a collar, she Would be whacking other dog with it!
