I think it very much depends on the individual, if they are neurotic due to hormonal issues then it may well have an affect. I've seen some settle and others not.... problem is you don't have the same dog staying un-neutered to know if it was going to settle anyway at that time in it's life to compare!!!

But as cayla said there are health benefits too to having it done, the main one being no risk of a 'pyometra' (womb infection), plus others.
