So... My horse decided to spend Sunday morning walking backwards in amazement.
She has been taught to back up through poles etc last year and then was turned away. She's verbally told to back up if she gets too prancy and will take a step back. Sunday she took it to a new level. Few steps backwards, amazed look. Few more steps, another amazed look. Call to broodmares and prance around to get attention, walk backwards and then check that they're watching. Soon as she clocked me watching, she stopped it and we played about for a bit and back to normal.
So after panicking something was wrong and monitoring for rest of day and Monday and calling everyone under the sun... the conclusion is "she's just like her owner" now I have a horse that is not only as clumsy as me, but as stupid too!
