I saw a clip of this on Channel 4's website. There was a rabbit on wheels, and a JRT with some sort of spine disorder. I'd love to have seen the full thing, being that I am, I suppose, the owner of a special needs pet.
I watched it too and it made for some uncomfortable viewing, especially the parrots, they just seemed so distressed and I don't agree with keep birds as pets anyway. I've never had rabbits so I can't vouch for how responsive they are as pets but I don't think I would keep one like that alive, rabbits are flight animals and it doesn't have that ability so I consider that cruel. The only one I agreed with was the JRT Katie (who was just gorgeous, I would love a wee dog like that!)... she seemed so happy in her little cart
and it obvisouly didn't bother her so I'm ok with that. Interesting programme from teh human perspective more than anything else.
Yes agree re the birds. I would have liked to see the outcome for the one they were trying to find a mate for. The poor thing was totally screwed up wasn't it. I have rabbits and TBH I care about them but wouldn't be putting one in a little carty thing if it was paralysed
MY THOUGHTS EXACTLEY the cockatoo they hadnt managed to find a mate at time of filming so was still a mess poor thing and as for the rabbit well i cant see that it has any quality of life its just not fair
