Does anyone have any thoughts or recommendations for warm and as near water proof as possible gloves suitable for use by a person needing to be dexterous with her hands. For instance unwrapping syringes/needles etc.

I have just bought off safety gloves and seriously pleased with mine! I bought a pair of Ejendals (I found them true to size) and I think they are better than SealSkinz which I was previously a long term fan of. I also bought a cheaper rubber gripped pair which are thermal. You couldnt stick your hand in a water trough but they are waterproof around the palm and fingers. They were bought more for doing yard work and picking up poles so not to wreck the other ones.

I feel some new cycling gloves coming on from the link lol. I do much prefer gloves with proper glove sizing.

Disposable latex gloves over your normal thin wool/thinsulate gloves. Top tip from my farmer friend when I was helping with lambing a few years back!
