I had a phone call Monday night asking if i could go and pick a horse up that had been dropped of in somones back garden.
Apparantly the lady's son helped out at a local stable and she couldnt affored to pay him, so she gave him a horse, he is 13 years old and dosnt knwo the first thing about horses neither does his parents.
They have been feedign it on bags of hay bought from tesco's, at least they ahd been giving it somthing.
After making numerous phone calls i managed to get a friend to go and pick it up, it turns out that its a 5 month old Dartmore colt and apparantly there are four more on the estate that this wonam has dropped off for other children, they are living on a council estate in their gardens.

My friend has driven there today to try and pick them all up, god knows what state they are in, im absolutly speechless how irresponsible.
We have now got to raise money so we can look after these poor foalies untill a good home has been found for them.
I just hope and pray that she has manged to get them all.
Im so worried about them

I hope the lady doing this paying with horses has been reported to BHS, and RSPCA. Local council too if she is a riding school or livery yard.

There are, not sure that the police are the appropriate people to enforce them though......

More likely the local council would deal, but I'm not sure.......

I can assure this is not a wind up, hard to believe yes i agree, i couldnt believe it myself.
Anyway the pony has been picked up it had a huge chain round its neck and was tethered up in a small garden that was not fenced at all, my friend was horrified
The young lad was a lovely kid he absolutly loved the pony and had done a good job in looking after it the best he could, he had the papers and it was in his name, he has now sighned it over to my friend and is thrilled that he is goign to live in the countryside with other horses, unfortunatly she couldnt get the others the kids would not let her have them, but she is on the case and hopefully they will be able to picked them up soon.
Somthing will be done about this lady trust me, if this little foal was not collected today i dont think it wouldve survived much longer, he dosnt even know how to eat and drink properly.
But hes all tucked up in a nice stable now, im hopfully going over at the weekend so il get some pics, apparantly hes not in that bad condition he has been well cared for and looks more like a welsh section d x,

Got to go and raid my piggy bank now to help pay to look after him
