Speechless

 OMG a similar fate is too good for the people who did this, they deserve something far worse  :( :(

I can't believe he was alone and hungry for 5 days either :(

:(

I saw this a while ago - there was a video too at the time. Just awful. The poor thing was wondering around for days like that and with part of the firework still embedded in his face. Once taken into the vet, he was pts - what a welcome release that must have been.

And, yep, I'd love to try the same trick on the people who did this to him.

This pic has been doing the rounds for a while, it was also linked to a virus on Facebook, I have seen it variously haven taken place in a slew of eastern European countries and also Australia, I have seen it being blamed on kids taping the firework to the dog, I have seen it blamed on a man throwing the firework at the dog.
The stories are all different.

It may certainly have happened somewhere, sometime but I don't think it is as current as many people perceive it to be and the hype around it is very disturbing.

I have also warned people on my FB if they ever 'share' it on my wall they will be instantly deleted. 'Sharing' the picture will do nothing to stop animal cruelty, it is just gratuitous. IMO.

I know what the picture is from reading the posts, I unfortunately saw it on facebook a while ago. There was someone I had as a friend who seemed to like posting all sorts of things like this, yet she's very much a dog lover. After nearly throwing up on several occasions I removed her from my friend list.

It was possibly the worst thing I have ever seen. Couldn't get it out my head for days. However, I can't help but think it might be fake. I don't understand how the dog could still be alive? How did it breathe? Also, surely it couldn't have been able to drink? Surely an animal couldn't live for 5 days without water? The other thing I pondered was how was the lower jaw and tongue not damaged if it was a firework?

If it's genuine then it's beyond comprehension how anyone could inflict this on an animal. I really hope it's not genuine. I also agree, sharing these things on places like FB do nothing to help prevent cruelty. If anything more likely to give sicko's ideas. And what about if young kids see these things? If it made me throw up what would a child think?
