Speedi-Beet, providing rocket fuel since the 90's?!

Otis and Lucie, if its a mineral imbalance causing the problem then saying horse has magnesium anyway makes no sense. Horse would still need additional magnesium (on top of what is normally given) to balance the additional calcium in the Speedibeet.
 
Interestingly, Speedibeet was one of the few things that we *could* feed to our highly sensitive mare, who could not tolerate any cereal or cane sugar. Alfalfa was one of the others.
 
Yep, when she was in harder, regular work Speedibeet was fine for our welsh mare, but when she was doing easier work it turned her into a fire breathing dragon!

She's now on a barefoot diet though so no matter either way.
 
Good point Sugar and Spice, never thought of that!
"Might" give it another go and up the dose of magnesium she gets (& do a few dozen hail Mary's when turning the old baggage out).
