Just a bit of advise please.

For a horse that needs no further weight gain (is neither under or over weight) in the top end of light work, and on a good amount of hay, what would be best to feed along side hifi lite and a balancer through the winter purely for nutritional value.

The horse is in good condition overall and has been on both alfa beet and speedi beet in the past, I rate both well but just wondered what peoples thoughts were. Thanks!

To be honest, if you are feeding a decent balancer and good hay, then you shouldn't need anything else, unless you need extra calories, which it sounds like you don't!

Speedibeet is pure unmolassed beet and is higher in calories than Alfabeet which is a combination of alfalfa and beet. However, because of the inclusion of alfalfa, the Alfabeet is higher in protein than the Speedibeet.

ok thanks I was just concerned about maintaining gut movement and nutritional value so thanks for the advise. I foot want to get complicated with feeding either so will stick to what we are doing. Thank you
