Too many to mention I'm afraid - but I am a sucker for correct spelling.

Definitely - why do people always want to spell it with an 'a'?

My biggest bugbear though (other than txt spk) is the good ol' apostrophe.

I know it doesn't really matter on a forum but I am a stickler for tradition

Breaks instead of brakes
Your instead of you're

I've been thinking about adding 'your = belonging to you; you're = you are' to my sig but have so far resisted in case it makes me look like a pedantic old bag...

ha ha! good one! go for it you'RE helping someone to spell properly!

It's my lack of being able to spell, that is stopping me from posting.
I can't see a spell check button. Is there one?
It's no fun being dyslexic.(probably spelt wrong)
I wish I could write in paragraph and get the spelling and grammar right.

Nothing wrong with your post! Please don't not post. Join in! If you download Mozilla Firefox it automatically spell checks your posts as you go along.

I'm talking about huge, lengthy posts without any paragraphs and very few full stops.

I don't have a big problem with spelling mistakes. I make enough mistakes myself. Often it's more a case of not proof reading what I type than not being able to spell the words I type incorrectly.

Nobody's perfect!

i have BROUGHT a new pony...from where?????

AAAARRRGGGHHH...

NO YOU HAVEN'T...YOU HAVE "BOUGHT" A NEW PONY!!!!!

Definitely is my biggest bugbear - soo many people spell it as definAtely - WHY????

Everyone makes typos (fair enough, not a problem) but bad spelling mistakes, they are one of my biggest gripes. I am sad yes, i am one of those who gets irritated when in a restaurant and things are spelt wrong on a menu - if they can't spell it, can they cook it?? hehe

Haha; i'm a member of a group on facebook called, "If you can't differentiate between "your" and "you're" then you deserve to die." Perhaps a little extreme, but I see where they are coming from.

You're and your really get my goat! They're, there and their is also a pet hate! But I think in all honesty the posts with barely any punctuation in p*** me off the most

lol. I find it difficult to read 6 or 7 line posts that don't even end with a full stop let alone have a comma thrown into the mix somewhere

What about speech? My mate thinks sh's cool pronounicing "Half" without the l... so it becomes "Haf." And it's soooooooooooo annoying!

I have pronunciation bugbears as well as spelling!

The correct way to pronounce the word trait is actually tray. (No-one seems to know this)

The other one is using the American pronunciation of words like Lieutenant or schedule

Do I qualify as a pedant?

Haha Diggerdog, quite possibly! One of my friends described me once as "anally retentive," and I don't think I have quite forgiven her yet! What can I say, both my parents are journalists

Hey, I'm just as anal as the next person, but if you're going to follow me around the forum answering all my posts like that, then it's going to be a loooooooooooooooooong, boring evening and eventually I'm going to get a bit cross.
You're acting VERY immature at the moment. If you can't give your opinion in a sensible manner, then nobody is going to take you seriously. And then who would help you save all the poor abused horses?

OMG PF, could 'of' is my most hated of all. It is sheer blimming laziness quite frankly. It is either could've or could have. You can't 'of' anything. Grr!

I am a bit more of a grammar pedant than spelling, though I dislike bad spelling, often on here it is typing too quickly. There is no excuse for bad grammar though. I hate it even more in the workplace, it is so unprofessional.

I did have an ex-friend tell me we should 'burn some bridges' which made me laugh - she'd already done that!
