Congratulations to Spencer who did a lovely GP Freestyle yesterday, to come second - however having won the GP the day before meant that he won the overall National Champion title.

Report from British Dressage

Ive got to say that i thought Steph and Mr President were fantastic, the music was spot on and they looked like they were enjoying themselves so much. She came 3rd in the GP Freestyle.

Maria Eilberg won the Freestyle on Two Sox who is a gorgeous horse and really nice to watch.

I took my camera... and guess what, I completely forgot to take any photos!!!

It was so nice watching Spencer warming up and riding because everything he teaches he implements (I hope that makes sense

). I agree with P_G though, Mr President's test and music were absolutely spot on!

Forgot to say... on Saturday Emma Hindle did the masterclass on the most amazing horse I have ever seen in my entire life (not exaggerating, he was truly amazing). She didn't say his name, just that he was an 8 yr old stallion and her "2012 hope". Did she use the same horse on Sunday and did she say which one it was? He was dark bay with a white stripe and moved like nothing on this planet.

I think it was Chequille who I saw. He really impressed me. He is such an athlete. If I had a mare, I would seriously consider using him.

Didn't see her lorry but I can imagine it!

Spencer was superb. Thank god he was there, some good moments from several horses but not a massively inspiring class imo.

Highlights for me were Emmas horses, they put most of the horses in the grand prix to shame and showed how much of the work should be done and they arent even at the same level yet.

Valegro and Carl were amazing in the YH class and the young riders quadrille was great fun.

i agree - some of the piaffe/passage work was shocking IMO

Emmas horses made all the others look extremely inferior.

I must say i didnt think the YR quadrille was very good, the music was boring and the routeen wasnt particularly inspiring either...

Excellent result for Spencer!!! I've met him twice I think - once when he came to try out C.Springsteen, when Lizzie was suffering from horrendous back problems and just couldn't ride his huge movement. Charming chap!

Wonderful to see Lizzie right up there too. Bruce had a good weekend, as did Madge (Madonna 141), she's alovely, lovely mare and her colt is STUNNING!!! Wonder what Carrots (Caramasow) did to do so badly ....... anyone see?

LOVE Chequille Z - WOW!!! Affordable too!!
